System Goals

Feature Winner has been designed to help you eliminate the pen and paper method of tracking your race car setups by replacing the old-fashioned method with an affordable, computer system, giving you the ability to quickly retrieve and display previously successful setups.

How many times have you ran well at a race track in the past, only to be scratching your head now, trying to find the setup you knew ran well before?  After flipping through page after page in your notes,  you still can't trigger your memory as to what worked on that previous night.  By now you've spent valuable time in the pits performing guesswork rather than making the CORRECT changes to your setup.  Maybe if I add weight here, or take less air out of this tire, etc., the list goes on and on.  

Feature Winner is designed to eliminate the guesswork.  With Feature Winner, you can now look at a list of previous setups for a specific track, sorted in order of finish.  You can use the starting information for each entry as a means of comparing whether you were moving forward or backward.  

For example, if you started 14th in a race and finished 5th, you obviously moved up 9 positions, indicating that you had a setup that was working pretty well.  At the same time, if you started 6th and finished 5th, you may not have had the best setup for the situation since you've only gained a single position.  Feature Winner gives you the ability to look at your setup history as a list of start and finish positions displayed side-by-side.  Furthermore, you can filter the list to only show history for a specific car and/or track combination which, ultimately, helps you find the right setup for any condition.  Large gaps between start and finish indicate that you either moved up or down several positions for the particular race.  By selecting a desired record, you can highlight and review the setup for a given race.  The more history you enter into your Feature Winner system, the easier it becomes to establish consistency in your racing program.

Using Feature Winner will allow you to gain back the valuable time you normally spend looking for the right setup.  Once your car is ready, who knows, maybe you'll even have a minute or two to be a spectator at the track too.
